The Georgia Cannabis Industry alliance begins to name Advisory board

 

WALKER CHANDLER

LEGAL ADVISOr

Atlanta Attorney and long-time advocate of decriminalization and other liberty-related causes, Walker joined the Libertarian Party in 1983 and began representing it in a series of cases in the federal courts. the most notable of those case was that in which he challenged a Georgia law that required drug-testing of political candidates. Walker fought the case up through the U.S. Supreme Court where he won an 8-1 decision that declared the law to be unconstitutional. Mark Yurachek

Mark has been practicing law since 2000. When I was in law school and first starting in my own practice, I had the opportunity to work with and learn from the best trial lawyers in Atlanta and have added to that my own extensive experience representing clients in appeals and post-conviction actions all over the country. I am bar licensed in both Virginia and Georgia and am a member of all appellate courts in both states. I am also a member of the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia, the Eastern District of Virginia and the Middle District of Georgia, as well as the United States Courts of Appeal for the Eleventh, Fourth and Sixth Circuits. Blair has developed his knowledge of cannabis over 20 years investigating both hemp and marijuana. His background in chemistry provides hands-on experience in the intricacies of processing and extracting compounds from crude material. Furthermore, Blair’s involvement within the pharmacy world places him in direct contact with patients and their medical treatments. He is committed to improving the quality of life for those in need of cannabis and medicine. Moreover, his desire to achieve solutions for problems is a driving factor that keeps Blair busy and involved within the cannabis market. BRIDGET DANDARAW-SERITT

MEDICAL MARIJUANA ADVISOR

Bridget is our Cannabis Patient Advisor Bridget Dandaraw-Seritt is a patient with multiple autoimmune diseases and genetic disorders. She is Co-Founder of Canna-Patient Resource Connection, an organization that designs science-based cannabis education for beginners and works to improve the quality of life for moderate to severe patients using cannabis as therapy. Mrs. Dandaraw-Seritt is author of Ganga Guide for Autoimmune Diseases: Getting Started with Medical Marijuana, has served on several local and state cannabis workgroups, and has presented at multiple industry events and conferences. Canna-Patient Resource Connection’s education is used nationwide by physicians, medical cannabis centers, and patient advocacy groups.

PAUL CORNWELL

Paul is one of Georgia’s earliest legalization activists and initiated Georgia’s first ‘smoke-in, while he was at the University of Georgia in 1971. The Red & Black held a referendum on ‘decriminalization in Ga’, which was overwhelmingly passed and was being re-affirmed by the Student Senate in the UGA Law Auditorium Front page coverage.

Paul was an early member of the Entertainment Division at UGA and help produce shows early on like Strawberry Alarm Clock, Big Brother & the Holding Co., Hampton Grease Band in Memorial Hall and Dante’s Domain coffee club.

Paul had been in attendance at early SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) at UGA but moved on to join the YIPPIES (Youth International Party) in 1975 after meeting Dana Beal, founder of the ‘Smoke-in’ at the 1975 White House Smoke In. He also met Gatewood Galbraith (KY) who with Dana Beal, and others, went on to form CAMP in early 1978. (Coalition for the Abolition of Marijuana Prohibition).

Paul is presently managing The Pot Shop in Little Five Points and continues CAMP’s efforts for cannabis reform nationwide. CAMP has an office in the back of the shop. Paul Cornwell

Christopher Raley is a fourth generation Georgia business owner and investor. A REALTOR by trade with specialization in commercial, land, and industrial real estate. Christopher brings over ten years of cannabis legalization advocacy work including working with the late James Bell of the GA. CARE Project. He has also worked with Tom McCain and Sharon Ravert of Peachtree NORML. He is now using his experience to assist the Georgia Cannabis Industry Alliance in its efforts to push the needle forward on better legislation for Georgia's cannabis industry. The Georgia Cannabis Industry Alliance is seeking individuals to develop a strategy to present to Georgia Legislators on recreational, medical, and hemp legislation for 2021. Please respond to this email if you’d like to part of a committee. We need the help of everyone on this.

Brandstracts will  present a joint rolling contest with legal hemp. This should be hilarious. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize.
