Upcoming Legislative Action – Copy
Hello Cannabis Advocates: I am excited to invite you to join us in our upcoming legislative action to advocate for cannabis reform in Georgia. As you know, the legislative session in 2023 did not result in any significant progress towards decriminalization and improved access to medical cannabis. However, we have the opportunity to make a difference in 2024, and we need your help to make it happen. To ensure that we all are well-prepared, the GA Cannabis Industry Alliance (GA CIA) will be hosting a series of training sessions for those who will sign up to represent the cannabis issue at the state Capitol. These sessions will familiarize you with the bills you'll be showing up to support and provide you with the necessary tools and resources to effectively advocate for cannabis reform. We are reaching out to our community to request a donation of a venue to host these training sessions. If you or anyone you know has access to a community center, conference room, or any suitable space that can accommodate the number of participants we expect, we would greatly appreciate your support. Here are some benefits of getting involved in our legislative action: Representation: You will have the opportunity to directly influence cannabis related policy decisions that affect your lives and communities. Strength in Numbers: We can create a significant impact by mobilizing a large number of individuals who share a common goal. Legitimacy: Grassroots involvement adds legitimacy to our advocacy efforts and enhances the credibility of the cause. Education and Awareness: You will have the opportunity to learn about the specific issues, the legislative process, and the potential impact of policy decisions. Community Building: You will be part of a community of individuals who share common goals and values, creating a network of support and collaboration. Long-Term Impact: Your involvement can have a long-term impact on the political landscape and create a culture of civic engagement. We cannot do this without you. Let's work together to advocate for decriminalization and improved access to medical cannabis. With more than fifty newly elected members in the Georgia General Assembly, we have a chance to make our voices heard and create change. Let's not miss this emerald, green opportunity. If you have access to a venue that can accommodate our training sessions, please contact us at director@gacannabisindustryalliance.com. If you have any other questions or would like to get involved in other ways, please let us know. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to working with you. In Solidarity, Theresa Yarbrough Director of the GA Cannabis Industry Alliance
